People who travel a lot usually need to have a unique set of basics to take with. Very often it includes a pair of good gloves as well. Winter gloves for cold climate countries, sport athletic gloves to grab a workout in the gym while staying at your trip for a while, hiking gloves and very often driving gloves as well.
For practical reasons most people prefer classic black accessories, for bags or gloves, because it is just so easy to match with everything else in the wardrobe. But sometimes it’s fun and creative to challenge yourself and rethink your choices for those important accessories.
Many of my customers asking me about what size of gloves they should select. Some of them like gloves to fit really tight, some like it a little bit more loose. It depends on individual preferences of course, but leather items such as gloves suppose to fit tight at first, it gives it this soft polished sophisticated look.
Glove styles over the centuries always included short (wrist gloves), mid-length, and long buttoned gloves. There also were such as fingerless gloves and gauntlets.
Perfumes became the mania in sixteen century Italy, and gloves, hair, hats, shirts, stockings, shoes, all had to be scented. Scented gloves, perfumed gloves, or sweet gloves, as they were called, were in great demand throughout Europe, probably up until the late 1700s. Perfumed gloves were firstly worn by women and men at Court, and by the other classes in the 1600s.
